Masdar City in Abu Dhabi – A Great Investment

Masdar City in Abu Dhabi – A Great Investment

Masdar City is a clean and green community that is being built on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. This is a planned city built by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company which is a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company. The most important aspect of this real estate project which will attract a lot of investors is that the Masdar City in Abu Dhabi will entirely run on solar energy and other renewable sources of energy. This project marks a boom in Abu Dhabi property market with its zero carbon, zero waste ecosystem. Masdar is constructed within 17 kilometers east south-east of the city. Similar to this there are also several green constructions in Dubai.

The Masdar City project was projected to cost around US $22 billion and was headed by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC). It sounds a great investment option as the project is expected to host 1500 businesses, home to around 45000 to 50000 people and several manufacturing and commercial facilities with eco-friendly products. Moreover, 60000 workers are expected to commute daily.

This real estate project incorporates specialized research and technology which creates a similar environment to the one in Tsukuba Science City, Japan and Russia. The city is quiet well known for the usage of its renewable power sources. At the initial phase of construction a 40 to 60 megawatt solar power plant is expected to be constructed. CH2M HILL is managing the first phase of the construction.

The entire project is based on the stepping stones of energy conservation as approximately 80 percent of the project that will be used for the construction will be recycled and it will be reused again and again till the time its possible to use that. World Wide Fund for Nature is a global conservation charity which supports this real estate project. Therefore, those searching for some investment options in green real estate, Masdar City in Abu Dhabi are the best option for that.
